See U.K. Police Gazettes 1812-1902 for 1876 in Blackburn Lancs "From the public- baths Frickleton-street, on the 19th (refers to 19 June 1876): a broad striped orange and blue mixture woollen Shawl, and a black Skirt; the property of Mr. James Cook, painter. By ELIZA TATTERSFIELD, alias BUTTERWORTH, 28 yrs. of age, about 5 feet 3 inches high, fresh complexion, thin nose, rather weak eyes, brown hair, and has some front teeth; dressed in grey shawl, brown winsey dress, and clogs. She stops in common lodging-houses, and lives with a man who has lost one hand and sings at public houses."
